25% Binder Fiber and Flame Retardant Cotton fiber insulation is permeated with a safe, deep-absorbing fire retardant which does not powder out, increasing safety and durability.

Cotton fiber insulation meets or exceeds quality and performance standards of traditional insulation products, and complieswith existing ASTM standards for batting insulation. Thermal resistance determined by test method ASTM C 518. Cotton fiber provides excellent sound control. Using test method ASTM E 1050, sound absorption rates better than 40% at all frequencies in the 3rd octave band, and are near 100% at 800 to 2000 Hz. When installed in exterior walls, use of a vapor retarder in the warm-in-winter side for mixed-humid climates is not recommended. Contact your local building codes authority for recommendations in severe cold climate areas.
