It is a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional insulation. Cellulose contains no harmful chemicals and can be installed without safety precautions.
Composition
85% Recycled Newsprint
15% Fire Retardant and Stabilizing Additivies
FIRE RESISITANCE
Cellulose insulation enhances fire resistance and is guaranteed to retain its fire retardant for the life of the structure.
THERMAL PERFORMANCE
Cellulose insulations meets or exceeds quality and performance standards of traditional insulation products. Thermal resistance determined by test method ASTM C 518 (4" thick).
R-VALUE: 3.7 per inch - ASTM C 739
SOUND CONTROL
Cellulose provides excellent noise control in walls and between floors. Cellulose has an NRC of 0.90, meaning that 90% of sound energy absorbed. Depending on the wall assembly, Cellulose offers an STC rating up to 66.
